There is an inner calm that comes from clutter-free rooms and well-placed furniture. For over 15 years, Sorted™ has helped clients bring order and balance to their lives with harmonious, organized household systems.

An organized system in your home can naturally lead to a stress-free environment. I hope to create harmony and balance for clients rather than the feelings of discouragement they may feel living with disorganization.

Sorted Home Organizing

Hi, I’m Kara. I love live music, being active outdoors, traveling to new places and helping you find harmony in your home.

professional organizer, m.a.

I find organizing relaxing. It may come naturally, but I've always enjoyed arranging spaces in a home. Transforming cluttered and unorganized homes is fulfilling, especially once the house has become a better functioning household system. Seeing the joy on a client's face makes it all worthwhile. I have been in residential organizing for over 15 years and love my work. This passion motivates me to help clients achieve harmony and balance within their homes.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Colorado State University, I had retail and public relations careers. Those professional experiences demanded staying well organized, especially with my retail position in keeping the store presentable and orderly, not to mention perfecting my folding skills! My work experience led me forward to the opportunity to work as a house manager, in which I honed my craft. As part of the position, I managed the house to the highest standards from top to bottom and side to side. Managing the household and maintaining organization was a huge task, yet it set my organizational skills to a new and professional level. At that point, I began working with clients on a part-time basis. Working part-time allowed me to advance my experiences into an active career and build client relationships. While doing so, I continued my educational pursuits, earning a Master of Arts from the University of Denver. Upon graduation, I pursued my goal of building a business as a professional organizer.

Organize. Transform. Educate.

I believe there is a direct correlation between feeling stressed and overwhelmed at home with the piles of clutter, packed closets, crammed drawers, and abundance of “stuff” surrounding you.

I believe we can all be more educated about reducing, reusing, and recycling items

into their next life.

When sorting and organizing, I can help determine what items can be donated, repurposed, or recycled. After working together to identify what possessions are leaving your home, I will deliver donatable things to a local charity or make arrangements for a large donation pick-up.

For hard-to-recycle materials, I offer to take small items to dispose of through local hard-to-recycle centers or provide you with the necessary resources to do so yourself. As part of my practice and NAPO code of ethics, I work to avoid, as much as possible, anything going into the landfill.
